OXFORD United have been handed an away tie against Exeter City in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Third round ties will be played over the weekend of January 11, with the full schedule to be announced in due course.
United will have fond memories of their last trip to St James Park, as the 2-1 victory there on the last day of the 2023/24 season ensured a Sky Bet League One play-off place.
Mark Harris and a Cameron Brannagan penalty provided the U’s a 2-0 lead at half-time, before Millenic Alli netted seven minutes into the second period to ensure some nervy moments for United.
The Grecians are currently 11th in the League One table.
Last season, the U’s recorded 2-0 wins at home against Maidenhead United and Grimsby Town before falling to a 6-2 defeat at Coventry City in the third round.
United haven’t reached the fourth round since the 2019/20 campaign, when Karl Robinson’s team held Premier League side Newcastle United to a goalless draw at St James’ Park, prior to a heartbreaking 3-2 loss in extra time in the replay, as Allan Saint-Maximin netted four minutes before penalties.
