A GIRLS’ football team in Oxfordshire celebrated a fantastic treble which saw them win every game they played during the 2023/24 season.
Witney Vikings Youth Under-16 Wasps Girls was formed in August 2018 after a surge in girls wanting to play football in the area.
The team has developed and gone from strength to strength ever since, culminating in a historic and memorable campaign last time out.
The Vikings won all 23 games they played and secured an incredible treble in the process, lifting the Oxfordshire A League title, the Oxfordshire FA County Cup and the Oxfordshire Girls League Cup.

The side’s manager, Nigel Lomas, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the girls and it was an honour to manage such an amazing group of dedicated powerful young women.
“We are a grassroots club who rely on volunteers and help from the local community. A massive thank you to our sponsors Polythene UK, my coaches Gary Smith and Shaun Stewart, all my girls’ fantastic parents for their help and support, and of course the whole Witney Vikings family.”
