AN injury forced Eddie Pepperell to withdraw from the ISPS Handa UK Championship.
The Abingdon golfer had a hip injury flare up on Friday but was still able to card a two-under par 70 to make the cut at The Belfry.
He also got round on Saturday, signing for a 73 to leave him one-over for the tournament.
But his injury got worse through the day, prompting the decision not to play in Sunday’s final round.
Pepperell now has just over a fortnight to recover, with his next event due to be the US Open at Winged Foot, which starts on September 17.
