AMER Awadh scored twice as Banbury United made it two wins out of two in pre-season.
Trialist Bradley Singh completed the scoring for the Puritans in the 3-1 success against visitors Daventry Town.
Boss Andy Whing, who included new signings Kelvin Langmead and Sam Brown, saw Awadh open the scoring with a fine effort inside ten minutes.
He doubled the lead midway through the half, nutmegging the goalkeeper at the end of a sweeping move.
Singh extended the lead with a low striker from the edge of the box after the break, before Daventry pulled a goal back late on through Kieran Fitzgerald.
Banbury and the county’s other Southern League sides have received some clarity over their campaigns.
League matches are due to begin on Saturday, September 19, while the fixtures will be published on Friday, August 28.
Didcot Town started their friendly matches with a 2-0 home defeat to Bracknell Town, who netted both goals in the first half.
Thame United eased to a 3-1 victory at Ardley United. Ryan Blake’s goal midway through the half separated the sides at the break.
Lewis Gabbidon equalised in style a minute after the restart, but trialist Cal Harvey restored Thame’s lead just after the hour mark.
Greg Hackett added a third goal five minutes from time.
Wantage Town lost 1-0 at Kintbury Rangers, while Kidlington drew 1-1 at Milton United on Friday night
North Leigh were not in action, having lost 2-0 to Oxford United Under 21s in midweek.
Leon Chambers-Parillon and Slavi Spasov were on target.
