CHIPPING Norton edged a thrilling OCA League Division 1 clash at Faringdon by one wicket as they chased down 238 to record victory.
The home side set 238 all out as Rob Owen hit 93 and Imran Hussain claimed 3-13.
But led by Ian Widdows (73) and Charith Karawita (51), Chippy edged home, reaching 242-9.
Table-toppers Witney Swifts secured a 23-run win at Middleton Cheney.
Chris Asque (65) and Josh Grant (59no) led the visitors to 187-5, before Redd Pratley claimed 4-20 as Cheney were bowled out for 164.
Garsington & Cowley saw off visitors Marsh Gibbon by six wickets.
Joe Leonard’s 88 helped the away side to 175 all out, Majid Khan taking 4-50.
Uzair Ahmed then struck 88 in Garsington’s reply as they reached 176-4.
There was an exciting finish at Westcott where Oxenford edged to an eight-run win.
David Shackleton top-scored with 51 in Oxenford’s 211-7, before Amer Ali took 4-35 as the hosts were bowled out for 203.
In Division 2, Tom Small hit a century as Cairns Fudge thrashed Watlington by 151 runs.
Small struck 107 as Fudge racked up 274-8, then Jamie Clark claimed 5-26 to help dismiss Watlington for just 123.
Joel Graham’s unbeaten century helped Stanton Harcourt to a 158-run victory over Tetsworth.
Graham scored 118 not out, Chris Pascoe 49 and Arun White 44 in Stanton’s 265-3, and then White claimed 4-10 as Tetsworth slumped to 107 all out.
Clifton Hampden’s Jack Stimpson claimed 5-50 to help his side to a 111-run win against Bampton.
Morley Benson (70) and Rob England (64) saw Clifton to 253-5, before Stimpson’s haul sent Bampton tumbling to 142 all out.
East & West Hendred defeated Wootton & Boars Hill by 46 runs.
After being bowled out for 184, Hendred’s Doug Hilliam took 5-50, Wootton falling to 138 all out, despite 73 from Ben Procter.
Hanborough beat visitors Kilkenny by four wickets as they successfully chased down 172-7.
Darren Gordon top-scored with 84 for Kilkenny, Jake Halsey keeping the away side in check with 3-19.
Hanborough reached 176-6 as Kieran McCall (43), Joe Burgess (42) and Arran Hobley (41) led the home side to victory.
Robbie Nicholson hammered 156 for Combe as they beat Kidlington by 31 runs in Division 3.
Nicholson and Mark Westaby (87no) helped Combe to 294-1, before Kidlington were held to 263-9, despite 71 from Andy Oliver.
Hook Norton maintained their 100 per cent start with a five-wicket success at Wantage.
David Spencer hit 92 and Colin Mercer 50 for the hosts, but, helped by Jason Trinder (53) and Tsering Sherpa-Moore (51), Hooky reached 206-5.
Marcham beat Broughton & North Newington by four wickets.
Broughton were all out for 151, Michael Palmer taking 4-25 and 15-year-old Ethan Davie 3-37.
Youngster Ollie Deans hit 79 not out to steer Marcham to 153-6, Clark Berry taking 5-42.
Brill edged out hosts Dorchester by five runs.
Andy Parke (76) helped Brill to 141 all out, George Dugdale taking 4-15.
Dorchester then fell for 136, despite 60 from Adrian Redhead, as Tom Broughton, Ben Jackson and Nel Sutton took three wickets apiece.
In Division 4, Simon Carr’s century set up a 174-run victory for Shrivenham at Deddington.
The visitors posted 269-6, before Scott Valentine took 6-10 as Deddington were shot out for 95.
Oxenford 2nd saw off Garsington & Cowley 2nd by 88 runs.
Russell Ewings top-scored with 86 in Oxenford’s 264-5, then Garsington were restricted to 176-8 in reply.
Craig Horne’s 7-47 helped Witney Swifts 2nd to a crushing ten-wicket win over Uffington, who were dismissed for just 80, while Steventon saw off Chadlington by 51 runs after defending 192 all out.
Elsewhere, Wolvercote 2nd beat West Ilsley by five wickets.
Heath Cooper claimed 5-16 as Chalgrove cruised to a ten-wicket win at Letcombe in Division 5.
The hosts were dismissed for just 72, before Chalgrove eased in.
In Division 6, Chesterton thrashed Hook Norton 2nd by 133 runs.
Peter Whitlock top-scored with 64 in the hosts’ 238-8, before Jimmy Appleton took 4-34 as Hook Norton were all out for 105.
Jeremy Launchbury’s 5-33 was in vain as Kidlington 2nd lost by six runs at home to Steventon.
The visitors posted 170-8, David Webb top-scoring with 41.
Sam Biggs then took 3-28 to restrict Kidlington to 164-5.
Watlington 2nd crushed Oxenford 3rd by ten wickets.
Mark Taylor was the star, taking 5-25 in Oxenford’s 110 all out, then hitting 57 not out as Watlington cruised home.
In Division 7 North, Faisal Gujjar’s brilliant 126 not out led Chipping Norton 2nd to a nine-wicket win against Charlbury 4th.
Charlbury set 157-7, Abi Norgrove hitting 60. But Chippy eased in as Gujjar shone in their reply.
Joe Braham claimed 4-23 to help Harwell International to a three-wicket win at Marcham 2nd in Division 7 South.
The hosts reached 135-7, and then Harwell edged in at 136-7 in the 30th over.
