ABINGDON’S St Helen & St Katharine School are celebrating a host of successes.
A superb display in the inaugural England Lacrosse Challenge Cup saw their girls finish runners-up to top seeds Berkhamsted, having beaten Queen Anne’s, Caversham and Benenden on the way to the final.
Their intermediate cross country team came third out of 60 in the English Schools’ Regional Championship, securing a place in the national final next month.
St Helen’s under 16 and 14 netball squads won the Oxfordshire Schools’ titles with unbeaten records.
And not to be outdone, their junior gymnasts also turned on the style to book their place in national finals of the Independent Girls Schools’ two-piece competition.
In the English Schools’ Swimming Association national relay finals, their intermediate team finished sixth in medley and tenth in freestyle.
