HARWELL came close to pulling off a remarkable comeback, but ultimately lost 29-22 at Oxford in a thrilling BB&O Championship encounter on

The sides observed a minute’s silence in memory of former Oxford colt Tom Quick.
Four tries in the first 25 minutes saw the hosts storm into what had seemed like a commanding 24-0 lead.
Ali Gibb (2), Luke Kimber and Elias Charlett crossed, with Harry Gillett adding two conversions.
However, Harwell were not finished and they hit back to make it 24-22, thanks to tries from Dave Edwards, Lewis Giddings and Connor Dougan.
Andy Lee slotted two conversions and a penalty.
However, Oxford composed themselves and Charlett broke through to score.
Elsewhere, Faringdon lost 20-18 at Aldermaston.
In the Premier, Abingdon were beaten 43-15 at home to leaders Swindon College Old Boys.
Grove suffered a convincing 43-12 defeat at Chippenham in South West 1 East.
In Southern Counties North, Wallingford lost 36-21 at home to High Wycombe.
Dan Sadler (2) and Kris Blaszko scored the south Oxfordshire side’s tries.
Phil Dawes converted all three.
