Paul Fernandez set a course record as he won Sunday’s Finstock 10k by 49 seconds.
Abingdon AC’s Fernandez completed the two-lap course at Cornbury Park in 34mins 8secs, beating Tegs Jones of Witney Road Runners.
It was a family affair as Fernandez’s sons James and George (both under 15) were second and fourth overall in the mile fun run.
White Horse Harrier Ian Lambourn was the first Vet 50 home in the main race, finishing 12th.
Elsewhere, Lambourn’s clubmate Claire Norrish won the Pangbourne 10k in 40.45.
Abingdon’s David Smyth took on the Great North Run and crossed in a pb of 1hr 37mins 43secs, while clubmate Aldred Durham also achieved a pb (1.38.56) in the Bristol half-marathon.
