Kennington tennis player Michael Watkins served up a notable success by capturing the under 14 title at the Gothenberg Open in Sweden.
The 13-year-old defeated players from Finland, Sweden, Belgium and Portugal and No 3 seed Fine Wilke, from Germany, to record his first European success.
His triumph was all the more impressive as he didn't drop a set throughout the tournament.
Watkins played some outstanding tennis and the victory places him in the top 50 in Europe.
He is also now the highest ranked Briton in his age group.
Back in August, Watkins won a second successive Ariel British National Junior title when partnering George Morgan to victory in the boys under 14 doubles.
Both boys still have another year in the age group and will be able to defend their title.
It was a second national triumph in a row for Watkins following the under 12 singles title he won 12 months earlier.
