Wallingford stunned the Southern Counties North’s morning leaders Milton Keynes with a 25-13 win at the Hithercroft on Saturday.
The victory, which was sealed by Glenn Dearlove’s late interception try, saw Wallingford climb above Oxfordshire rivals Alchester and out of the drop zone.
Anthony Marris and Shaun Bailey also went over for the hosts, with Phil Dawes kicking two conversions and two penalties.
Wing Guy Nicholl’s late try earned Grove a 16-16 draw with Newbury Blues at Cane Lane in South West 1 East.
Grove led 8-0, but then had to fight back from 16-8 down.
A penalty from full back Roger Sevier and a try from scrum half Owen Gustafson put Grove ahead.
Newbury replied with two penalties and two tries, but Sevier’s three-pointer and Nicholl’s try earned a draw.
Harwell climbed to fourth in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Championship with a 39-5 victory at Aldermaston.
Tom Nicholas and Jamie Cantwell bagged try braces, while Rob Douglas, Sam Froud-Davis and Andy Lee also went over, with Lee converting two.
Ronnie Booth and Andy Pynegar scored fifth-placed Didcot’s tries in their 15-9 victory at Crowthorne.
Paul Costello added a penalty and a conversion.
Faringdon were left frustrated by a 29-21 defeat at Berkshire Shire Hall.
Tries from Darren Clark, Graeme Endean, plus a conversion and three penalties from Clark’s boot had Faringdon trailing just 22-21 with ten minutes to go.
Leaders Abingdon gained a walkover against Kingsclere to make it seven wins out of seven.
