Vale of White Horse Schools’ Under 13s let a two-goal half-time lead slip as they went down 4-3 away to Cheltenham in the Meeson Trophy.
James Stewart gave Vale the lead after 20 minutes and added a second just before the interval.
Cheltenham got back on level terms with two long-range efforts.
Jack Earl restored Vale’s lead, but an effort from the halfway line flew over keeper Matthew Crowther’s head to bring Cheltenham level again, and the hosts claimed victory with another shot from distance.
