David Murphy scored a remarkable seven goals for Village Inn as they overcame Dog & Gun 8-6 in an OFA Sam Waters Cup second-round tie which was rearranged after being abandoned at 4-4 last week, writes Darryl Ridgley.
Chris Howlett scored Inn’s other goal to dump out the Banbury & District Sunday League side.
Abingdon Exiles were stunned by Division 3 side Abba Athletic, going down 7-2 away from home in the second round of the Critchleys UTV League’s Ridgeway Cup.
James Gardner and Richard Walker netted for Exiles, who were overwhel-med by Craig Barlow’s hat-trick for the home side, plus other goals from Michael Taylor (2), Sam Cleaver and Robert Appleton.
JET were edged out 2-1 by AFC Brightwell. Charlie Silkson’s brace was enough for the visitors but Jonathon James’ consolation goal provided some solace.
A brace from Joe Murphy and a Ben French effort for Long Wittenham proved in vain as they went down 5-3 at home to Northway Res.
Kennington Athletic edged out hosts North Oxford Conservative Club by the odd goal in nine.

Black Swan piled more misery on Division 2 basement hosts Checkendon Exiles with a 7-3 thumping.
Gary Brown hit a hat-trick and Kevin Secker, Gary Belcher, Dave Carter and Wayne Waldron also scored for the rampant visitors.
Sutton Wanderers lost 3-2 at home to Woodstock Wanderers, despite goals from Jack Mathews and Matt Hammond.
Dilley United remain rooted to the foot of Division 3 after they were handed a 10-1 thrashing by league leaders Wallingford Cross Keys.
Hat-tricks for Andrew Gibbons and Tyrone Morris added to efforts from Kane Galliford, George Eleftheriou, Wayne Mangan and Dave Norris, while Daniel Morris scored a penalty for Dilly.
