Sir, I was incredulous to read in last week's Herald an article stating that it is proposed to spend £25,000 on a study of whether an extension could be built on Wallingford Museum, when the council grants the permission and employs architects, surveyors etc of its own. As this sum represents ten per cent of the budget, can this not be done "in house"?
