SIR, Self-builders and those wishing to enjoy other “unusual” forms of development, referred to by Mr Scharf in the Herald (October 30) commenting on the Drayton Neighbourhood Development Plan survey, should, according to the National Planning Policy Framework, be enumerated in the production of Strategic Housing Market Analyses and, therefore, considered in the new local plans covering our areas.
I have lobbied in the consultation for the Vale local plan.
I suggest others do likewise, as I have not had any confirmation that such matters are actually being considered.
It is worth noting the excellent work undertaken in the Cherwell Local Plan and their Build! initiative. I also thank Mr Scharf for confirming the local picture.
