More rain is expected overnight after Storm Bert caused widespread flooding across the area over the weekend.
Oxfordshire has narrowly avoided a new yellow weather warning issued for most of south east.
The Met Office has warned that rain is expected to reach parts of southern England overnight tonight (Tuesday), becoming persistent and heavy in places.
Given recent wet weather, some disruption to travel and infrastructure is likely on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
The warning covers areas around Essex in the east of England, Devon and Dorset in the South West and London as well as multiple areas on the south coast.
Much of the warning area will see 15-20 mm of rain with 30-40 mm in some areas.

In Oxfordshire today's forecast is for sunny weather changing to partly cloudy in the afternoon.
However, heavy rain is expected between midnight tonight and 3am, changing to light rain between 4am and 9am.
The Met Office is urging householders to check if your property could be at risk of flooding. If so, consider preparing a flood plan and an emergency flood kit.
Check road conditions if driving, gather torches and batteries, a mobile phone power pack and other essential items in case of power cuts.
When a weather warning is issued, the Met Office recommends staying up to date with the weather forecast in your area.
