An Oxfordshire MP has reacted after a worker was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being “crushed in the machinery” at a well-known railway centre in Didcot.
A volunteer worker at Didcot Railway Centre had a work-related incident which resulted in serious injuries and required an air ambulance to take him to hospital on Tuesday, November 12.
Police and land ambulances also attended the scene, while Thames Valley Police officers confirmed the man to be in a stable condition.
Liberal Democrat Didcot and Wantage MP Olly Glover said: “I'm very sad to hear about it. I wish the person all the best for their recovery.

"The Didcot Railway Centre is a fantastic local amenity.
"It's really good for tourism and the history of the area so hopefully they will look into what's happened and learn from it.”
Didcot Railway Centre volunteer Richard Jermyn previously told the Oxford Mail: “At approximately 12.30pm on Tuesday, November 12, an accident occurred at Didcot Railway Centre, which required the attendance of the emergency services.
“The accident involved an older gentleman who was engaged in some building work.
“Details of the incident are still under investigation, so no further comment is possible at this stage.
“The ambulance service took the precaution of having the air ambulance in attendance, due to the distance the injured person was from the road it was decided to use the helicopter to take them to hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
