A man has been arrested after a vehicle was rammed and shot at across the border from Oxfordshire.
In the early hours of Sunday, November 10 at a farm in Wilsford, several suspects in vehicles surrounded the victims' and shot out of the windows using catapults while ramming the vehicle.
Police investigating the incident have arrested a man in his 20s, from near Wokingham, on suspicion of dangerous driving, affray and criminal damage.
He is currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station, Swindon, for questioning.
Wiltshire Police believes that around six vehicles were involved in the attack, including a number of 4x4’s, and they are appealing for anyone with information or footage of the suspects to contact them.
One of them was a silver BMW X5 and another was a Toyota Rav 4.
It is suspected that the suspects may have been taking part in hare coursing.
Inspector Andy Lemon, from Wiltshire's Rural Crime team, said: “We appreciate the huge amount of community concern that this incident has caused and we continue to take it extremely seriously.
“As part of our investigation, I can confirm that we have made an arrest and he is currently in custody for questioning.
“We are aware a number of vehicles were involved and we continue to appeal for anyone who may have seen or has CCTV footage of a number of 4x4 vehicles travelling through Amesbury, Wilsford and the Woodfords on Saturday night/Sunday morning to get in touch.
“We are also appealing for any dashcam footage of any 4x4 vehicles travelling along the A303 and M3 during the early hours of Sunday, November 10.

The force says it is aware of a video circulating on social media which will be fully investigated. The public has been asked not to share the video.
The arrested suspect is understood to have been apprehended by members of the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Force in neighbouring West Berkshire.
The task force posted on its Twitter/X page to provide an update on an incident that took place on Wednesday night.
It said: "The Taskforce has patrolled the West Berkshire area this evening A male wanted by Wiltshire Police Rural Crime on suspicion of rural crime offences was arrested & booked into custody
"We work with all UK police forces to ensure rural crime offenders cannot hide."
