Police have confirmed there have been injuries following a serious five-vehicle HGV crash in Oxfordshire earlier today.
The incident happened at around 11.45am as a HGV and four other vehicles were involved in a collision in Thame Road.
Thames Valley Police and Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service raced to the scene and the road was closed between Thame and Tiddington.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We are on the scene of a multi-vehicle collision involving an HGV and several cars on the A418 between Thame and Tiddington.

“The road is currently closed and is likely to be so for some time.
“If you witnessed it or have dash-cam, call 101, quoting the incident reference 728 of today (Wednesday, October 30).”
Police confirmed to the Oxford Mail that people had sustained injuries in the serious crash but the force is not yet in a position to clarify the nature of these.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 11.46am on Wednesday 30 October, sending two fire engines from Rewley Road Fire Station in Oxford, plus one from Thame, and a rescue tender from Kidlington to the A418 Thame Road.

"They attended a road traffic collision involving a HGV and four cars.
"Crews extricated three people who were trapped in three separate cars.
"They departed the scene at 13.56."
The road remains closed in both directions at the time of writing.
