Adults in Oxfordshire experiencing anxiety, depression, or stress can access free expert NHS support.
NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies offers this confidential assistance to those grappling with common mental health challenges.
These include feelings of depression, excessive worry, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, or post-traumatic stress disorder.
To encourage others to seek early mental health help, five people have shared their recovery stories in a series of short films.
The films contain interviews with patients and psychological therapists, showcasing how therapy has improved people's quality of life.
They also address common barriers that often deter those from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds, or older generations, from seeking support.
Jo Ryder, consultant counselling psychologist and clinical lead and head of service at NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies, said: "The videos are all about how real people have sought help through Talking Therapies and how it has worked for them.
"We are promoting them on social media as we feel that it’s important to get the word out and also to show people who may be unsure if Talking Therapies is for them, just what they could get from it.
"We hope that these short videos will help give reassurance and inspiration to anyone who feels they need a little help and support."
To access support, people can visit the Oxford Health website to complete a self-referral, or call 01865 901222.
