Hundreds of daffodil bulbs have been planted in a village near Abingdon.
Housebuilder Pye Homes hosted the community planting event at its Church Farm development in Radley, with around 600 bulbs planted throughout its shared spaces.
Around 25 residents gathered at the development on October 5 to plant bulbs at the entrance and along the main road leading into the estate, focusing on communal grass verges and tree bases.
Sarah Turner, a member of Church Farm Green Spaces Group, said: "It’s been amazing to see the community come together for this daffodil planting event.
"We all take great pride in our shared spaces, and it’s wonderful to be part of a project that will bring a splash of colour to our neighbourhood in the spring.
"This event has really shown how much we can achieve when we work together, and I’m excited to see the results of our efforts brighten up the estate for everyone to enjoy.
"Events like these also help strengthen our sense of community. It was great to meet neighbours, old and new, and work together on something meaningful.
"I hope this is just the beginning of many more initiatives that enhance the beauty of our surroundings and bring people closer together."
Pye Homes managing director, Graham Flint, added: "This initiative aimed to beautify the local environment and create a vibrant display of daffodils in the spring, whilst also bringing the community together."
