A driver was stopped in Oxfordshire today (October 24) for towing a trailer with a number of functions missing.

Officers from the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce team, PC Dollery and Woolley, stopped the white van in Didcot

Anyone who would like to report a rural crime ranging from anything like theft of farming or agricultural equipment or fuel, damage to agricultural property, tack theft, theft of lead from churches, damage to ancient monuments, illegal metal detecting and or livestock worrying can do so online here: https://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/ro/report/rwc/rural/report-rural-crime/

The force said the trailer had no number plate, no lights and no breakaway cable.

The driver was reported to court.

The Taskforce said it checks trailers to ensure they are in order, and if it does not stop them, it does not know whether they are stolen.
