A crash on the A34 has caused a stretch of the road to be closed near the Oxfordshire border as motorists are warned to expect lengthy delays.
The collision took place in the northbound carriageway between Chieveley and Chilton with motorists being urged to avoid the area and to plan in advance.
A diversion route has been put in place which re-directed motorists towards Wantage.

Emergency services have been on scene to deal with the aftermath of the crash.
A National Highways statement said: "Emergency services including Thames Valley Police are in attendance. National Highways traffic officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management."
The crash also meant that bus services have been disrupted with Thames Travel stating its X34 services were "experiencing significant delays".

A statement from the bus company added: "Some departures may be unable to operate as a result of them being caught in the ensuing traffic.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
National Highways stated at 3.40pm that one lane had been reopened northbound on the A34.
It was then confirmed that all lanes had reopened at around 4.30pm as motorists were told to "allow extra time for the remaining residual delays on approach to clear".
The AA stated the average speed was 10mph as delays built up on the A34 northbound between the M4 and J13 at around 2.15pm.
