Oxfordshire has been issued a yellow thunderstorm warning with flooding remaining “possible”.
The Met Office reported the yellow weather alert on Monday, October 7, warning that heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause disruption to travel.
Some flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible according to the alert while some short-term loss of power and other services is possible.
Delays to train services are also likely and there is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Areas of heavy showers and thunderstorms will move northwards across southern parts of England and Wales later Monday, clearing northwards overnight.
“Some places will see 20-30 mm of rain within 2-3 hours, with a small chance that a few places could receive 40 mm.
“Thunderstorms are most likely for south-facing coastal districts, and hail and some strong gusts of wind could accompany the heaviest showers and thunderstorms.”
Oxfordshire County Council shared the warning on social media while a spokesperson said: “The Met Office has issued a warning for thunderstorms covering large parts of the south and west country from 4pm today.
