Oxfordshire's 10 ultrafast broadband hotspots have been revealed by network provider Openreach.

Witney tops the list of area's where the service is most available, with nearly 70 per cent of homes and businesses able to upgrade to full fibre broadband.

Bicester and Banbury follow in second and third respectively to make up the top three, while Thame, Wantage, Blewbury, Childrey, Stratton Audley, Abingdon, and Longworth also feature in the top 10.

The upgrade has so far seen an investment of more than £26 million, with the build continuing in areas such as Adderbury, Bloxham, Carterton, Freeland, Kidlington, Marcham, and Summertown.

Build in the Oxford exchange area is set to begin later this year.

The new technology is being adopted at record rates, with around half of all eligible homes and businesses in Oxfordshire having already upgraded their service.
