A mystery novel which is set in Henley and is the first of a trilogy has been released.

Nostalgia Man in Henley is the first of the trilogy exploring memory, and has been written by Paul S Bradley.

The plot follows Oliver Matthews' journey unravelling the mysteries of his youth, including his intense love affair with a woman named Jenny.

The book explores Oliver's self-imposed penance of quitting drinking, remaining celibate, and dedicating himself to a police career, all while being plagued by a disturbing vision.

After 56 years, he returns to Henley to investigate the probable cause of his torment.

Mr Bradley was born in London but grew up in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, and Henley, living on Norman Avenue in the town during the 1960s.

He has lived and worked in Nerja, Spain, for more than 30 years, writing and publishing lifestyle magazines, guidebooks, and travelogues in English, German, and Spanish.

Since retirement, he has written and self-published the five-book Andalusian Mystery Series and co-authored 'Reinventing the Wheel', a biography of Patricia A. Broderick, America's first mobility-impaired female judge.

He has also self-published and co-authored 'The Fontainebleau', a true story of the Edwards family, who, in 1972, fled the UK Labour Government and drove to Nerja in their Rolls Royce.

It tells their story as, with no language skills or relevant experience, they bought a half-finished hostel.
