A woman who married and then divorced a ghost has claimed she was attacked by the spirit of a mass murderer.
Witney-based singer Brocarde claimed to have roused the ghost of Carroll Edward "Eddie" Cole during a paranormal investigation at The Nevada State Penitentiary in the USA.
Brocarde had been filming while locked inside the former prison's execution chamber when she said she suddenly found herself swept towards the execution bed.
Carroll Cole was an American serial killer who was executed in Nevada in 1985 for killing two women by strangulation.
He was also convicted of murdering three other women in Texas and is believed to have killed up to 30 other people.
Brocarde, who claims to have married and divorced the spirit of a Victorian soldier, said it was the most terrifying place she had ever been.
She said: "I’ve had my fair share of uncomfortable encounters with ghosts, but the Nevada State Penitentiary is easily the most terrifying place I’ve ever visited, it’s so active, the prison is huge and pitch black after dark, I could barely stomach being in there.
"I could feel eyes on me and someone following me constantly, heavy breathing and groaning noises in my ear, it was awful.
"Something odd came over me, it was like something kept trying to possess me.
“I made the huge error of conducting a dousing rod session and asking if 'Carroll' was present.
''I could hear the name being said over and over so I vocalised this, not realising that it was a nickname that triggered him.
"It was all downhill from there really and the activity got increasingly more intense throughout the evening."
She added: "I was really affected for days after my visit to the prison, meeting the spirit of a mass murder is definitely on a different level, and I was scared of what the force was capable of.
"I was warned that he was violent towards women guests, and I felt the sensation of choking and being dragged towards the bed when I was in the execution chamber.
"I really had to fight hard to stop the spirit from possessing me."
Brocarde's life as a paranormal investigator started after she captured headlines around the globe when she married her ghost lover. She ended her marriage after only a few months.
She is currently touring the world's most haunted locations to conduct paranormal investigations and has recently returned from Wacken Open Air where she claims to have connected with the spirit of Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead.
