Oxfordshire's best and worst GP surgeries according to patient reviews have been revealed following a recent national survey. 

The latest IPSOS Mori/NHS England survey consisted of around 2.56 million questionnaires sent out to patients aged 16 or over registered with GP practices in England, from January 2 to March 2, 2024.

699,790 patients completed and returned a questionnaire, resulting in a national response rate of 27.3 per cent.

The results show that Cropredy Surgery in Cropredy near Banbury was the favourite across the county.

An impressive 97.1 per cent of those surveyed felt they had an overall positive experience at the surgery.

Berinsfield Health Centre in Berinsfield near Wallingford had a 96.9 per cent positive rating, while Sibford Surgery in Banbury had 96.8 per cent and Kes Northgate in Oxford had 96.1 per cent. 

Other Oxfordshire surgeries that recorded overwhelmingly positive experiences included Nettlebed Surgery (96.1 per cent), Manor Surgery (94.7 per cent), Morland House Surgery (93.9 per cent), Wychwood Surgery (93.1 per cent), Jericho Health Centre (92.9 per cent) and The Bell Surgery (92 per cent).

However, at the other end of the spectrum, Montgomery House Surgery in Bicester received the lowest positive response at 52.8 per cent.

Newbury Street Practice in Wantage had a 54.7 per cent positive response, while Banbury Cross Health Centre had a 58 per cent positive response. 

Further surgeries in the county that recorded low positive experiences included Windrush Surgery (58.3 per cent), Alchester Medical Group (61.3 per cent), Didcot Health Centre Practice (65 per cent), Deddington Health Centre (65.1 per cent), Summertown (66.5 per cent) and Chipping Norton Health Centre (68 per cent).
