An Oxfordshire MP has praised local healthcare services after being treated for sepsis, from which she is now recovering.
Layla Moran, Liberal Democrat MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, told the Oxford Mail she was recently hospitalised for 11 days with sepsis - which is an infection of the blood stream.

She said: "I am so grateful for the excellent care I received at the John Radcliffe.
"It was caught early and I am doing well, but not yet entirely recovered.
"I have a few weeks to go before I am fully fit.
“The wonderful staff at the John Radcliffe were absolutely fantastic, and I know just how important our hospitals and GP services are to all local residents across Oxfordshire."
Ms Moran said the experience had made her even more passionate about local health services.
"This experience has made me even more committed to doing everything I can to make sure that our wonderful NHS staff get the help and support they need from the government," she added.
Conservative MP Craig Mackinlay, who has just quit parliament, also dealt with the potentially-fatal health condition - requiring the partial amputation of four limbs.
Ms Moran's team was keen to stress that her condition was not as serious as Mr Mackinlay's situation.
Another Oxfordshire politician, Henley MP John Howell has recently suffered a stroke and he does not intend to contest the upcoming General Election.
Ms Moran will run for re-election in Oxford West and Abingdon against Conservative candidate Vinay Raniga, Labour candidate Stephen Webb, Green candidate Chris Goodall and Reform UK candidate James Gunn.
