HUNDREDS of families at Oxford United's annual fun day at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford, on Saturday were given their first glimpse of the new team shirt modelled by Miss Oxford, Lyndsay Fayle.
As well as seeing the new kit, the supporters had the chance to meet the team's players and watch them train, as well as enjoying a penalty contest between supporters and team members and other attractions.
Lyndsay, 17, of Denchworth, said: "The shirt is very bright. I will certainly be wearing it next season.
"There was a great turnout. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and there were a lot of people taking part in activities."
Lyndsay, a student at King Alfred's Community and Sports College, Wantage, is putting the finishing touches to her preparations for taking part in next week's Miss England competition in London. In April, she beat 50 other girls to win the Miss Oxford title and qualify for the national final being held at the Troxy Hotel in Docklands on Friday, July 18.
