An athletics club are holding a free nine-week couch to 5k training course to help people get fit.
Abingdon Athletics Club are inviting anyone and everyone to get involved with the course, which begins on April 15 and will see people taking on progressively longer runs around Rye Meadow.
During the first run on Saturday, April 15, from 8am to 8.45am, participants will run for 60 seconds, then walk for 90 seconds, seven times.

The final run on Saturday, June 10 will see participants ‘graduate’ with an attempt at the full 5k parkrun.
Maria Hamilton, a volunteer organiser for Abingdon Athletics Club, said: “We do have all sorts of people.
“People who want to get exercising and end up as regulars at their local parkrun, and some who really get into running and end up doing ultra marathons – young, old, women, men.”
