In the report, staff were found to “do all they could to promote independence and access to healthcare services, ensuring a holistic level of care was provided.”
It was also highlighted in the inspection that staff demonstrated a “commitment to people”, and “displayed strong person-centred values”, mentioning that “staff supported people in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests”.
Families of residents informed inspectors that staff support them in a personalised way with comments such as a care plan.
Benson House registered with the CQC in February last year making this the home's first formal inspection.
