AN artisanal bakery in Oxfordshire has won two Great Taste Awards for its cloud cakes.
Tangram Tree Cakery, based in Wootton, has won a two-star award for its salted caramel cloud cakes and one start for its vanilla cloud cakes.
The bakery was praised for “great contrasts, generous dimensions, and irresistible appeal” at the world’s most coveted food and drink awards.

Judges added that the cakes were “creamy, delicate, delicious and very moreish.”
Yu Li, the founder of the bakery, said: “We are delighted to have won a Great Taste award for our salted caramel and vanilla cloud cake, I have dreamt of this moment and am so proud to be adding the iconic black and gold Great Taste logo to the first of a series of products based on my family’s favourite treats.
“Cloud Cake was born from a desire to recreate much missed delicacies for my children who grew up in Asia so to be where we are today is just wonderful and I hope these cakes bring others as much delight as it has us.
“Being recognised with a Great Taste 2-star means so much to independent producers such as ourselves as it makes all the hard work and determination worth it.

“Great Taste is the most recognised accolade for taste and quality in the food and drink world, so it really is a big win.”
