AN Oxfordshire author and illustrator has published his third children’s book with a fold out section measuring two metres long.
Rob Jones, who lives in Abingdon with his partner and young son, is best known for his bold, bright art style.
His third book, ‘Who’s Tickling Tilly?’, features a dinosaur with a very long neck, who is being tickled by a mystery character.

Young readers are tasked with trekking through various prehistoric landscapes as they unfold the book page-by-page, meeting Tilly’s friends along the way, to discover the culprit.
Mr Jones’s debut children’s book, ‘Bernard’, was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal, one of the most prestigious prizes in children’s publishing, and his second, ‘Where’s Brian’s Bottom?’, introduced babies and toddlers to a fold-out format last year.
‘Who’s Tickling Tilly?’ has the same interactive style. It can be found in Mostly Books shop in Stert Steet, Abingdon and as well at The Wallingford Book Shop in St Martin’s Street, Wallingford.
Mostly Books were “hugely supportive” of ‘Where’s Brian’s Bottom?’ last year and have planned for an event around Mr Jones’s latest release event at Abingdon Library on Tuesday, August 23 at 12.30pm.
