VALE of White Horse District Council is currently considering changing several parish arrangements across multiple areas.
These changes could include extra councillors and boundary changes. A public consultation is currently open until Friday, July 29 for residents to provide their feedback.

The proposed changes are:
- Grove – to remove the warding arrangements for this parish, so that that the current two wards are combined into one with 16 seats.
- Grove/East Challow – to make no change to the boundary between these parishes.
- Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor/Fyfield & Tubney – to make no change to the boundary between these two parishes
- North Hinksey – to include ‘Botley’ within the name of the parish i.e. ‘Botley and North Hinksey Parish Council’ and to change the name from a ‘Parish Council’ to a “Community Council’
- South Hinksey/Kennington – to make no change to the boundary between these parishes.
- Sunningwell/Wootton/Cumnor – to make no change to the boundary between Sunningwell Parish and Wootton and Cumnor parishes. To change the name of Wootton Parish Council to Wootton and Boars Hill Parish Council.
- Uffington – to increase the number of parish councillors from six to seven.

Once the consultation has ended, the council’s community governance and electoral issues committee will agree any final changes which will apply from the May 2023 elections.
