A NEW festival dedicated to the celebration of vegetables is taking place this weekend.
Plot to Plate, a community festival revolving around growing, cooking and eating vegetables, will be held at the Abbey Buildings in Abingdon on Saturday (9).
Organisers have said the event is “a chance to try new recipes, learn new growing tips, improve your cooking skills and consider rebalancing your diet.”

The website states: “Cooking recipes with higher vegetable content is a great way to stretch the family budget and bring healthier options to your table and the savings are increased if you grow your own, as well as creating a stress-busting family activity across all ages.”
The festival, which starts from 11am, will include activities for families as well as talks, classes and tastings.
