The drink-driver evaded police after being pulled over but the officers were eventually able to find the vehicle later on in the evening.

However, police dog Merlyn, a dark brown and gold German Shepherd, was able to pick the driver’s scent and found them hiding in a nearby bush.
Last night a vehicle evaded police in Didcot area. It was located later on but we found that the driver had run off. PD Merlyn used his nose to seek out the driver who was hiding in a bush nearby, the driver was arrested for drink driving and taken to the local police station. pic.twitter.com/2xy3iqFSZN

Officers were then able to arrest the drink-driving offender who was taken to a local police station.
PD Merlyn is part of the Thames Valley, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Joint Operations Dog Unit and he has been praised for his work on Twitter.
