THIEVES stole power tools and machinery after breaking into a village pub.
The Three Horseshoes, in Oxford Road, Benson, near Wallingford, was burgled between the evening of Saturday, May 28 and the next morning.
Hand tools and small plant machinery, being used for refurbishment work at the pub, were taken and there was damage to new building work.

Owners have reported the incident to the police but are appealing for any witnesses or people who know more about the theft.
The pub has been closed since Saturday, April 23, with the building work due to be completed by the end of July or the beginning of August.
