A COMMUNITY group in Didcot has set up free English lessons for Ukrainian refugees.
Two classes are held per week on Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings at the King Alfred Drive Community Centre for two hours at a time.
About £300 was raised by residents to hire a teacher and provide refreshments at the sessions while two additional teachers have volunteered to provide lessons for free.

Twenty refugees are taking the classes so far but the group suspects more will join in the coming weeks.
They now hope more volunteers, or a local authority, will come forward to help with teaching or to provide resources such as space to teach.
For more information, or to volunteer, visit the Facebook page called “Didcot and surrounding areas Ukrainian Refugee Support Group”.
