A TELEPHONE box in Wallingford has been restored for schoolchildren to use it to display art.
The old-fashioned red telephone box in St John’s Road has been refurbished by volunteers over the weekend.
It has been repainted, a missing glass pane has been replaced and the shrubbery surrounding it has been cut back.

It will now be used by children at St John’s School to use as a “display showcase” for art and will be handed over to them over the half term.
This is the second box to be refurbished after the first one in St George’s Road. The next telephone boxes to be refurbished are the one near the town hall in Market Place and one near Wallingford Bridge.
