A RESTAURANT in Wallingford has temporarily limited the number of bookings available due to staff shortages.
The Old Post Office, in St Martin’s Street, said the change will be in place for about two weeks.
Breakfast will also no longer be available from Monday to Thursday but the bar will be open from 9am with pastries, cake and coffee.

Bookings have been limited per day and the restaurant is encouraging customers to call ahead.
In a statement on Facebook, the restaurant said: “We wanted to take this moment to express our mass of gratitude for your continued support through what has been an admittedly challenging year.
“The smiling faces and kind words have meant more to us then I’m sure you know. We have been working tirelessly to run our business at the high standards yourselves and ourselves expect.
“Unfortunately this has proven increasingly difficult and therefore we have made the incredibly difficult decision to temporarily limit our food offering.”

The Oakman Group Plc, owners of the restaurant, added: “As everyone is aware there is an ongoing staff crisis in the UK which is impacting every sector from nursing hospitality.
“By temporarily tailoring our services, we can continue to provide the high level of hospitality that our customers expect while supporting and investing in the welfare and careers of our existing and new team members.”
