A painter inspired by places he could and could not visit during the covid pandemic is displaying his work as part of Oxfordshire Art Weeks.
Jon Rowland will be showcasing his work in an exhibition called ‘Recollections of Place’ at Sewell gallery at Radley College.
The Oxford painter creates abstract works and reflects on themes of colour, movement, and space.

He said: “The Covid 19 lockdowns provided me with the opportunity to focus on my art. The internalisation of the concepts of separation and solitude were initial responses.”
He added: “There’s a story to each of my paintings and, like any journey, there are unexpected outcomes.”
The exhibition will run at the Sewell gallery until May 22.
