A DRY-cleaning business in Wallingford has moved into a new building only 10 doors down.

Mr Umesh Patel, who owns Care Dry Cleaners which used to be at 10B St Martin’s Street, applied to change the use of the ground floor at 21 St Martin’s Street so he can move his business.

At a meeting of South Oxfordshire District Council’s planning committee, he said: “I used to live next door but I want to develop the business to help the local community and economy.

“I’m happy to stay in Wallingford long term as my family are here and it’s the best opportunity I will have in my life.”

Councillors anxiously agreed to approve his application which also included the creation of a two-bedroom apartment above the business.
