A CO-WORKING space business in Wallingford is raising money to help Ukrainian refugees learn English.
The Old Counting House in High Street is hoping to raise £10,000 to help refugees in the town and surrounding villages pay for language lessons.
If the target is reached the money would pay for qualified Ukrainian teachers who will provide three hours of teaching daily for four months as well as teaching supplies and IT resources.
If more money is raised than needed the teaching time will be extended into other community areas.
It is hoped the money will be raised and the lessons, which will take place at the company, can start in mid-April. The business has raised £1,470 so far.
