A town council will vote for a new mayor as the current term is coming to an end.
Councillor Marcus Harris announced to the council his term as the Wallingford’s town mayor is finishing soon.
He will be contacting all members of the council to ask if any of them wish to stand for the post next month.

Mr Harris wants to encourage people to attend the council meeting to see the process of how the selection of the next mayor gets done.
He said: “We are actively trying to encourage people to come to the town council meetings to see how we operate and what we do. It would be particularly good to welcome anybody to March’s meeting as we will going through the process of election the next town’s Mayor. I believe that will be very interesting for everybody.
