She has launched a Just Giving page to raise £1,500 for Raleigh International Trust. The charity supports young people and helps to tackle climate change through its conservation work.
The ex-King Alfred's pupil is currently on her gap year, volunteers at her local scouts group and strives to protect the younger generations from the climate crisis.
Ellie said: "As a young person I am very concerned about the environment and climate change. If I have children I want hem to grow up in a world that is worth living in. Litter picking comes from that and making sure the world around us isn't overrun with litter."
