A MAN who was made redundant from his job as a warehouse manager last year has scooped a £15,000 cash prize thanks to online competitions company BOTB.
Kevin Bell, 56, was at home in Didcot with his wife, Sue, when BOTB’s Christian Williams video-called to tell him he was this week’s Luxury Lifestyle Competition winner and now £15,000 richer.
He only paid 75p for his ticket to enter the competition and said the timing was “perfect”.

He said: “I lost my job last year because of the pandemic and it has been a really tough few months. Obviously we’ve got bills to pay and we’re also looking after my mother-in-law who’s in her 90s so it’s been a hard year. This money will go such a long way.”
The father-of-one said he’d also treat his family to a trip to Cornwall with the cash. He said: “My favourite place in the UK is St Ives and I’d love to take the whole family on holiday later in the year. My son, Charlie, will be turning 21 later this year so I’m sure some of it will go towards celebrating that, too.”
All Kevin had to do to enter the weekly competition was answer a skilled question, which was about a footballer who had campaigned for free school meals during lockdown.
