PHILLIPS Mark Thornton of Wallingford. It is with great sadness that the family of Mark announce his passing aged 86. Formally Eton College housemaster and Head of Modern Languages, where he taught for 36 years. Mark attended Westminster Abbey Choir School, Aldenham School and Worcester College Oxford, winning a squash blue. He was a much-loved brother to Peter (deceased), Anthea and Tim. A Memorial Service will be held in the autumn.
