I only worked alongside Bill for a brief period of about 2 years in the late 1980s. But what I do remember was his kindness, generosity of spirit, love for his family, fondness for all things DIDO and dedication to Morris Oxford cars

With fond memories of a dedicated work colleague and friend. Nothing was too much trouble for Bill when it came to looking after my experiments in the DIDO reactor, at Harwell.
Rest easy now, the rigs have been put to bed.
