LAY Christopher John Chris, a quiet and gentle man who grew up in Wantage, raised his five children with his late wife, Sylvia in Childrey and in later years lived at Kingston Lisle with Linda and John passed away peacefully at St Katharines on the 9th January. At rest now after a long journey with dementia, he will be sadly missed by his children Chris, Helen, Linda, Lesley and Philip and his eight grandchildren. A private cremation will take place shortly followed by a family celebration of a life lived later in the year.

So sorry to hear about Chris, he was a great pal to my dad Joe Whittington. He often drove us to Wales for our lovely summer holidays.
