I was on a plane travelling to Switzerland and happened to be sitting next to
Beryl. I have not laughed so much after meeting a stranger. From than on we have visited each other, she met my family an numerous occasions going out to lunch to her little pub around the corner from her cottage. We have so many drawing, small video recording of her and my children and her dogs. After leaving her cottage after all the work she put in it was a shock but she walked into the new flat and moved forward with what it was.
I am saddened that I didn’t know of her death as my husband and I were planning to spend our anniversary locally to her and visit at the same time.

Beryl you are in my thought and I will alway remember the unique woman I met on a plane who always entertained me and my children with you wit and drawings.

Rest in peace my dear friend.

I knew Beryl for many, many years. She was totally batty and had the most wicked sense of humour.
She made me laugh and cry (with laughter). She was generous, warm and kind. When she had a lake, she allowed us to release our 'rescued' ducklings on many occasions.
I only learned of her passing today as I now live in France and I am quite devastated, I thought she'd live forever.
RIP dear lady. I hope you are finally reunited with Fanny and Willy and all the other pets that were lucky enough to have you for a Mum.
It was an honour and a privilege to have met her.

Such a sad loss. Beryl was a unique individual and extremely talented. I am immensely proud of having had a portrait done by her when I was a child in 1964. Her animal portraits were stunning and have brought great joy.
To have known her is a priviledge.
She will be in our thoughts and prayers.
